Crystal Open Scout started it's journey in 1st September, 1996 with the motto to work for human. It's an open rover group where anyone can start rovering. It started with 7 President Scout and after that it didn't have to look back. From the beginning Crystal always wanted to do something different and something unique. To achieve that Crystal has different types of programs.

 

       Crystal has programs through out the year. The main programs of crystal open scout are Annual Group Camp & Free Dental Camp, Pioneering & General Knowledge Competition, Fruit Festival and Cake Festival. There are also Iftar Party, different Sight seeing events, in the winter Worm Cloth Collection & Distribution program for poor people and many other small programs.

 

      Crystal Open Scout also participates all of the programs and camps organized by Bangladesh Scouts, Rover Scout Region, Dhaka District Rover. Rovers of the crew served the National Jamborees and Camporees on a regular basis. Service of the rovers even helped the National Head Quarter of Bangladesh Scouts organize different projects like Bangladesh-Japan Joint ORT Project, Course for Patrol Leaders, Saline Project, etc. The members of Crystal also participates in different international programs and camps organized by World Organization of Scout Movement. The scouters and rovers have a versatile experience of visiting different countries of the world for scout camps. Thailand, India, Nepal, Pakistan, South Korea, Maldives, Taiwan, Egypt are some of the countries to be mentioned here.

 

       The rovers of crystal are from different colleges and universities of Dhaka. Most of them have a rich scouting background. Crystal currently has 11 active President Scout in the crew. At the moment Crystal Open Scout has 25 active members.
